The name Pre-Engineered buildings (PEB), refers to buildings that are Pre Engineered & ready to deliver to customer. As long as the purchaser is restricted to standard designs, buildings could be called Pre-Engineered Buildings.
PEB structures are applicable in various industry sectors, such as:

Buildings made up of Steel where different components of the building are designed, detailed and fabricated in the plant, shipped to and erected at the site (without drilling or welding at site).
Buildings which rely on Standard Engineering Designs for a variety of off-the-shelf configurations, wherein each component of the building comes pre-punched, marked, completely constructed to specifications off-site and then shipped to site.
