Observational studies and evidence-based healthcare always remains as an unmet need globally due to poor healthcare system and data standards. Our client was eager to harmonize the available COVID-19 datasets to OMOP CDM, with outputs that guide the needs of individual patient care, population, and public health. This was needed to establish evidence-based decision-making for COVID-19 management through secondary research.
GWV’s goal for this project was to apply a Common Data Model to raw data, enabling conducting data analysis on open-source tools research framework. The CDM was needed to perform large-scale standardized analytics, methods, and skills.
